All members of the public welcome.
Below is announcement we have been asked to share with all our volunteers, clients, supporters, and people and organisations we work with here in Rutland.
“Age UK Leicester Shire & Rutland is currently working as part of the Rutland Community Wellbeing Service to provide a range of activities for older people across Rutland. This service will come to an end on 31st March.
Being part of the Rutland Community Wellbeing Service has enabled us to set up a wide variety of groups and activities. Our local Development Workers, Yvonne Rawlings and Penny Stimpson, will work with these groups to identify those that can be supported to continue operating independently.
Age UK Leicester Shire & Rutland and Rutland County Council are committed to continuing to work closely together to support older people who are living with dementia and their families and informal carers.
Age UK Leicester Shire & Rutland will also continue to deliver our other projects that support older people to maintain their wellbeing in their local community.
We will share further updates via the Age UK Leicester Shire & Rutland newsletter and Rutland County Council.
Please do not hesitate to contact us for further information or questions.
Thank you for your continued support.
Kind Regards,
Yvonne Rawlings & Penny Stimpson

For emergency use in case of Cardiac Arrest, the defibrillator is located in the BT phone box on Main Street.
It was connected in 2013 and funded by donations from village residents and the Karen Ball Fund. Annual costs average about £200 of which £100 is covered by the Parish council. A sudden unexpected increase in maintenance costs has now depleted our reserves and we need to raise more to cover future expenses.
Our target is £500 to cover the next 5 years expenditure and allow a small surplus. More details will be available in January.
If you are new to the village we are happy to give a short introduction on how it operates. Please e-mail Mike Horwood – mike.horwood2@btinternet.com
Please find below the link for the December 2021 Age UK newsletter for Rutland.
Please share the newsletter with friends, neighbours, and anyone else you think might be interested.
If you have any questions, please let us know. Many thanks
